Mukowiscydoza



 

Choroba uwarunkowana genetycznie (mutacja genu CFTR), która polega na zaburzeniu działania gruczołów śluzowych i potowych. Zmiany chorobowe dotyczą głównie układu oddechowego i trawiennego. Lepki śluz w drogach oddechowych zwiększa podatność na infekcję. Po pewnym czasie dochodzi do trudności w oddychaniu. Uposledzeniu ulega również wydzielanie enzymów trawiennych przez trzustkę. Osoby chore wymagają codziennej rehabilitacji (specjalnego masażu ułatwiającego odkrztuszanie). Jeśli trawienie jest zaburzone, wskazane jest również przyjmowanie enzymów w tabletkach. Chorobę tą wykrywa się we wczesnym dzieciństwie.
